With the Central Ohio VMware Users Group (COVMUG) moving to quarterly meetings, Scott and I decided to start a Columbus area vBeers gathering.

March 19th, the first ever Columbus vBeers was held at the Olentangy River Road Rooster’s location.

What initially appeared to be a slow start quickly ended up being a great, well attended event. Dan Bryan of Actifio generously provided some tasty Rooster’s appetizers while everyone enjoyed some ice cold beer.

No attendance was taken, however an estimated 25 people showed. It was great seeing some of the State and Local Education (SLED), Enterprise and Small Business folks together discussing various virtualization topics.

Note, in May, we are planning on having the vBeers event the day before the all day COVMUG event (5/21/2013 – Multi-Sponsor Event @ Hyatt Regency Columbus – Full Day User Conference) on Monday 5/20/2013.
