Operational
- Will this be utility priced?
- What are the end user experience requirements?
- Should desktop customizations be available (personalization)
- How are profiles/user data managed?
- What is the endpoint OS going to be? XP? 7?
- What AV products do you currently use?
- Is two –factor authentication a requirement?
Hardware
- What hardware do you currently use?
- Blades? rack mounts?
- Is there a preferred hardware vendor?
Storage
- What brand SAN?
- What protocols are supported? (FC/NAS/ISCSI/FCOE)
- What speed of protocols are available? (1/2/4/8/10gb)
Network
- Will remote offices be connecting to the environment?
- What is the bandwidth available to each environment?
- What is the connection to the endpoints? 10/100? 1000?
Virtualization
- Is there a preferred virtualization vendor?
- Is there any application virtualization in place already?
